A Vintage Affair

Brooches, scarves, bags, shoes, coats, rings, necklaces, bracelets, dresses….You name it, it was there at the Take 2 Markets! What a perfect way to spend an hour or two on a sunny, crisp Melbourne Sunday!

“Take 2 Markets is the ultimate destination for market shoppers and sellers of quality fashion clothing. The Take 2 Markets has become Melbourne’s premier recycled fashion event. Stalls always book out and every market day is busy from opening until closing time”

Market creater Rina is a long time market devotee, frequent op shopper and bargain hunter. She loves the excitement of the unknown; of not knowing what treasure may be lurking and enjoys meeting other people out on the prowl for a good bargain.

I was particularly excited about scoping out a stall put together by Cecylia Kee, a stylish, creative and all round beautiful person! I had never met Cecylia, however as a regular reader of her fashion blog and follower on twitter, I was super excited about meeting her in “real life”J.
Her stall had some amazing vintage pieces for sale; bags, scarves, brooches and MORE! I walked away with a couple of gorgeous brooches and a hair clip kindly given to me as a gift for stopping by. So lovely! Oh and in between being a fashion blogger and collector of all things vintage, Cecylia is a vet and owner of fashion boutique “Cecylia” at
1113 High Street, Armadale Victoria Australia
- in Armadale's iconic fashion precinct! One busy lady!

Oh and on the way out, I picked up a beautiful black cameo ring from another gorgeous stall holder!! I really did have such a lovely time!

Fresh Flowers

I love bringing fresh flowers home, once I pop them in a vase and set them somewhere, our house instantly feels fresher, prettier and happier! There’s nothing like heading to the local market and picking which flower type & colour you will go for this week.

So over the weekend I bought my weekly bunches and decided to go for a different tact, inspired by The LANE’s “Whimsical Woodlands” feature styled by Mary & Gabrielle Events & Design and shot by Whitewall Photography & Design I went to work on creating a few arrangements around the house. I am not by any means a florist or stylist but I had a lot of fun choosing which vases I would use and flower heights and colours, A LOT of fun! I really like what I have created, a few vases here, a few vases there, a purple flower here and a white flower there J

Actually I am looking forward to my next project so much, I am wondering how many vases are too much around the house!
